The festival was born out of local pride and love for authentic flavors. It began modestly, with slices of melon shared among neighbors after a long day’s work. Today, it’s a must-attend summer event in Sicily, bigger and brighter—but still true to its humble roots.

By car: from Agrigento, it’s a 15-minute drive. From Palermo, about 2 hours. Take SS189 or SP1 roads.
By train: get off at Agrigento Centrale station. From there, grab a taxi or a local bus.
By bike: if you’re up for some scenic climbs, you’re more than welcome.

On festival days, several temporary free parking areas will be set up and clearly marked along SP13. Main areas include:

Near the Ducal Castle;
Via della Libertà;
Along the road leading to Agrigento.

Volunteers will assist visitors, and in some time slots a free shuttle bus will run between parking lots and the town center.
